The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

 

CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

·     Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments

·     Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms

·     Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions

·     Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles

·     Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency

 

Workforce Technology (WFT) delivers technology products, solutions and services to the firm's 270,000 active employees in more than 60 countries worldwide; corporate Human Resource (HR) clients and global HR lines of business partners.  We provide HR data and reporting to 300+ internal and external applications.  Our in-house applications support the employee life cycle from onboarding to off-boarding, including key global functions such as payroll, employee and manager self-service, learning and performance management, and compensation planning.

 
The position is for an experienced Business /System Analyst Scrum Master with Project Management skills to work globally, across lines of business and with Executive Compensation business partners to help drive, execute, and realize the technology agenda.  This individual will help develop and define the future state strategy of technology architecture, build globally consistent business requirements and action plans to execute initiatives, and help drive the change management strategy to key stakeholders. As a Business Analyst Scrum Master you serve as liaison between the subject matter expert and application development.  In this role you will be responsible for eliciting, defining and documenting business and functional requirements for concurrent projects.  Must have experience in both agile and waterfall project methodologies.
 
Business Analyst-related Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create and build business relationships
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills; able to facilitate meetings & create agendas
  • Write, or assist in, writing business cases. Gather requirements from stakeholders and other relevant sources
  • Write Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
  • Define non-functional requirements as required
  • Act as a Product Owner or Subject Matter Expert for a given area and/or application and partnering with the business clients to make product more relevant and inputting into requirements where possible
  • Work to ensure products are compliant with internal Corporate Technology standards as well as compliant with local (in-country) laws
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in ‘Product’ areas
  • Keep up-to-date with industry news, competitor landscape and prevailing technology trends.
  • Process modeling experience
  • Can decompose complex problems into simple components that can be designed independently

Scrum Master- related Skills

  • Manage the Scrum process
  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings
  • Ability to coach team and drive Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and user stories.
Project Management-related Skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with differing time horizons
  • Identify stakeholders for new projects
  • Define success criteria for all projects
  • Facilitate project initiation meetings and deliver handover requirements to the project team.
  • Clarify requirements on an on-going basis throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Keep up-to-date with project progress.
  • Perform follow-up analysis on projects after go-live (post imp review).
  • Help define overall project priorities with stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
 
 Change Management-related Skills
  • Help support and possibly lead change management initiatives related to new systems/process /reporting roll-outs within the performance management community
    •   Coordinating relevant internal and external constituents to gain agreement
    •   Help to create and provide guidance in developing relevant communications / training
 
Other Supplemental Skills
  • HR or Operations experience, preferably in executive compensation with deep knowledge and understanding
  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Experience working directly in a HR Information System (i.e. PeopleSoft)
  • Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to discern critical items, perform follow up, & strong attention to detail.
  • Results oriented.  Able to deliver timely, accurate, thorough, and high quality work in challenging situations.   
  • Self-starter with a proven track record in business analysis, project management and change management.
  • Ability to work individually with little or no guidance and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of usability testing and quality assurance practices.
 

  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst within a technology or operations organization
  • 5 + years of experience in writing functional specifications based on technical requirements preferred
  • The ability to work through decision making with key stakeholders in performance management, technology, compliance and HR partners; excellent influencing skills
  • HR or Operations experience, 1-2 of which preferably in executive compensation with deep knowledge and understanding of work-flows and processes. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to synthesize information from multiple perspectives & recommend action
  • Ability to coach team and drive Agile methodologies.  Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and user stories.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with differing time horizons
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create and build business relationships
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills; able to facilitate meetings & create agendas
  • Results oriented.  Able to deliver timely, accurate, thorough, and high quality work in challenging situations.    
  • Strong partnership skills and knowledge of the JPMC lines of Business and functions
  • Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to discern critical items, perform follow up, & strong attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of regulatory policies for financial services recruiting preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint/PitchPro, Word)
  • Ability to create and tell a story to audiences at varying levels
  • Strong technical skills: excel, sharepoint, powerpoint, etc.
