Job Description:
As a member of our Infrastructure Development team, you’ll immediately put your love of technology into action. Each day, you and your team will be responsible for making sure our platforms, servers and networks are online and secure. You’ll work together, evaluating, selecting, implementing, integrating, maintaining, upgrading, documenting and designing our infrastructure. You’ll find new and creative solutions to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Communication is key, both in problem solving with your supervisors and collaborating with your coworkers, as well as other teams in the network.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms
  • Maintains proficiency in these key areas:
    • Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
    • Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management)
    • Design (compliance, security)
Network Engineering (planning, provision)
  • Proficiency in more than one specific infrastructure technology
  • Ability to execute with understanding of best practices and JPMC policies top of mind
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
The role of the Application Support is to manage and support Regulatory applications globally. The person would need to have very good analytical and problem solving abilities, Hands on to the application and be a team player, control the uprising situations and communicate to the management and escalate to the stakeholders while discussing problem statement or possible solutions.
 
The responsibilities would include, but not limited to:
  • Application Support ETL/Hadoop applications
  • Incident management and problem resolution
  • Coordinate with client and support teams on issues.
  • Pro-active monitoring for issues
  • Analysis of the problem statement and suggest solutions.
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Communicate with all stakeholders on problem statement, possible solutions, intermediate issues and overall status of work assigned.
  • Analysis and presentation of the issues and changes to the systems(s).
  • Technical and functional ownership of the applications.
  • Coordinate with Build teams for all changes, documentation and handover.

  • 7+ years of overall experience, with good knowledge in production support of financial applications
  • Knowledge of incident / problem management
  • Comprehend the SLAs defined and adherence to the same
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Root cause analysis and follow-ups to ensure issues are not repeated
Technical skills essential for this role are:
  • ETL (Abinitio)
  • Hadoop
  • Oracle (v9i/10/11)
  • SQL
  • PL/SQL Stored Procedures support/development
  • UNIX file management and shell scripting
  • MS Office applications
  • ClearCase version control software
  • Autosys/Ctrl-M scheduling package
  • Axiom vendor software
