Job Description:

As a member of the JPM Bank Luxembourg Executive Committee, you will lead the operations for JPMBL across the various lines of business operating in Luxembourg and the bank branch network. You will work closely with the members of the Luxembourg management team as well as with CIB CAO and the lines of business regionally and globally to ensure optimal efficiencies and client satisfaction in conjunction with regulatory requirements. This role will play an important role delivering the operational framework required to successfully implement the JPMBL BREXIT and Cross-Border legal entity strategy. The successful candidate will functionally report to the Global Head of CFS Operations and locally to the JPMBL CEO.

 
 

Key Roles & responsibilities:

  • Serve as member of the JPMBL Executive Committee  and relevant local Governance Forums
  • Serve as senior member of the Global CIB Operations leadership Team
  • Support the build out of JPMBL and JPMorgan business strategy in Luxembourg  across the various LOB operating in the bank
  • Develop and cascade a pan-European strategy model and mission statement for JPMBL operations aligned and  integrated with regional and LOBs  operational strategy
  • Manage and coordinate JPMBL operations across all LOBs operating in the bank and its branch network
  • Work with OCM to ensure that JPMBL Operations RCSA, QA testing and SOC1 are conducted effectively
  • Provide key contribution in setting and implementing JPMBL and business strategy
  • Ensure the Operations operating model (on shore vs. offshore/outsourced) is optimised to support the business
  • Authorise, approve and control local outsourcing across all operational functions and applications
  • Develop and implement budget, headcount control and premises efficiencies
  • Maximise resources to create best efficiencies for the location and network, across all functions/LOBs
  • Drive performance measures in location (e.g. efficiency versus effectiveness, KPI dashboards)
  • Work to improve the client experience around client on-boarding, ensure cross LOB client services issues are addressed and resolved on a timely manner
  • Serve as senior contact for clients in case of escalation or consultancy and serve as member of local deal team for prospect clients
  • Own regulatory correspondence relating to operational errors, approvals, notifications and others
  • Serve as Culture Champion for the onshore and outsourced operational teams
