Chase Paymentech is the payment processing and merchant acquiring business of JPMorgan Chase. Paymentech payment platforms support businesses of all sizes to process payments, including credit, debit, and digital, alternative, mobile payment options. Paymentech can authorize payment transactions in more than 130 currencies. The company also provides business analytics, payment fraud detection, and data security solutions.  


We are seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented, and experienced Sales Professional to join our National Sales Team. Our Business Development Director generates revenue by selling products and services to new prospects identified through prospecting and cold-calling within an assigned territory. The focus of this role is to work with merchants that process a minimum of $20 million in annual bank card volume. This person will report to the Executive Director, National Sales. 


You will be part of a team focused on expanding our business in the retail, B2B and card-not-present markets at a national level. You will be responsible for generating leads through prospecting and cold calls, with the goal of promoting our products and services, and ultimately negotiating with decision makers and closing the opportunity. The key to your success will be to develop and sustain a sales pipeline while meeting or exceeding your assigned sales targets. 1.      Education/Experience

  • Ten years field sales or business development experience.

  • Merchant processing or related industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business or sales management in lieu of degree. 

2.      Skills or Special Abilities

  • Work from a home office, and open to 50% travel.

  • Strong business development, technical, organization and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to adapt to audience - executive, technical, finance, etc.

  • Effective negotiation and presentation skills are required.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, including managing lengthy sales cycles, meeting critical deadlines and driving results.

  • Proficient at Windows based Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
