Tax Reporting & Withholding Services (TRWS) is a firm-wide center of excellence that provides solutions for all domestic and international tax reporting needs. Services offered include customer tax statements, filing with the IRS/States (and equivalent International revenue agencies), tax withholding payments, and penalty abatements.
This position will be directly involved in all aspects of production for international tax reporting related to Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Common Reporting System (CRS) and other international tax reporting obligations for TRWS. 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Plan, prepare and submit tax files for FATCA and CRS tax reporting to approximately 60 foreign country tax authorities.
  • Research and engage with business partners to determine reporting requirements, approvals and formats for Legal Entity review, registration and filing.
  • Collaborate with TRWS testing and technology team to build and maintain solutions for reporting.
  • Develop & maintain a control environment that would satisfy risk & audit requirements (RCSA).
  • Interact with TRWS, Relationship Management, Event Management, and Leadership teams to provide feedback and formulate solutions to production issues.
  • Partner with third-party providers (vendors) and/or application development managers to implement a process for FATCA reporting.
  • Coordinate reporting activities for satellite JPMC jurisdictional reporting in Bank Secrecy countries.
  • Contribute to Third-Party Oversight (TPO) of application vendor, including: monthly scorecard reporting, risk/control assessments, and action plans/closures.
  • Produce key metric reporting and ad-hoc reports requested by Management and various other internal parties which appropriately document and track all filing activities, approvals and communications.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes. Apply knowledge to identify opportunities and to understand issues, determine solutions and resolve.
  • Develop and modify system procedures, process flow maps and other training materials, then oversee training execution and rollout.
  • Display strong written and verbal communication skills in interactions with internal business partners and external government agencies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience with compliance operations production, preferably involved with tax reporting
  • Experience in process improvement and process mapping
  • History of success working in a team environment
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and influence change
  • Negotiates to find creative solutions to reach goals of the group and achieve win/win solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively interface with other departments, colleagues and senior management
  • Detailed understanding of process controls and basic audit principles
  • Knowledge of tax statements and year-end reporting (preferred, but not required)
  • MS Office (required), MS Project (a plus), and SharePoint
