Job Description:

JP Morgan Asset and Wealth Management seeks an individual in its International Private Bank Businegroup to support systems used globally within the Wealth Management business. This position will be based in Geneva, Switzerland.


The individual must have excellent problem solving skills and be able to demonstrate how they are applied within a global support environment. Good communication skills are a must for this position, as a key element is to be able to work with business stakeholders and technology staff across the globe. Technical skills, including coding and development, should complement the problem solving and communication skills to deliver a highly effective individual capable of adding value individually and as part of a team.


Familiarity with financial instruments and understanding of a lifecycle of a trade is a big plus. Prior experience of working in global support environment is also desirable. Candidates must be demonstrating a willingness to learn new technologies and business processes as required.

Responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Work on a team to categorize, prioritize and resolve software application issues dealing with all levels of the Asset Management technology organization.
  • Provides hands-on support for products and applications at agreed service levels.
  • Interface with internal and external business and technical partners.
  • Participate in the Incident and Problem Management processes as a resolver accountable for root cause analysis, resolution and reporting.
  • Establish processes that will help incident prevention, and create/develop tools to improve monitoring and automate support tasks.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for change within the production environment.
  • Delivering JPMC initiative and process improvement projects on time and in-scope.
  • Continued dedication to providing best of class service at all times
  • Provide on-call support during off-hour time and a weekend per month on a rotational basis


Skills required are:

  • SQL, Java, JavaScript, Bash scripting : expertise in at least two
  • Hands on experience on both Unix and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Selenium) is a plus
  • Awareness and exposure to REST Services, Multi-tier Web applications and/or Cloud Services.
  • Awareness and exposure to Big Data software (e.g. Hadoop, R, Pentaho) and techniques (Machine learning, business intelligence).
  • Able to perform within a DevOps culture.
  • Knowledge of Banking products.
  • Experience working within a service delivery function (product support, help desk, post implementation, support for projects)     
  • Experience handling multiple requests and queries at the same time
  • Communication skills, analytical skills and validation skills
  • Good command of English, team player and leadership skills
