Job Description:
JPMorgan Asset Management ("JPMAM") provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. 
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and high caliber individual in response to the significant increase of the Operations control, and global MIS reporting. The role will have a specific focus on enhancing the Operations efficiency, control and MIS reporting infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region.  Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Head of Operations Support and Control. The individual will interact with business functions at all levels across the region as well as colleagues in London and New York.
Initiative Leadership/Management
  • Managing project initiatives and controls across Asia Pacific region
  • Working with stakeholders to help define and drive requirement and execution
Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Supporting and conducting clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on initiatives
  • Creating and applying appropriate conceptual frameworks to push thinking and expand solution sets
  • Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches
  • Designing processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement
  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and opportunities
Communication & Relationships
  • Building relationships with stakeholders
  • Communicating recommendations to stakeholders
  • Clearly articulating initiative goals to stakeholders and collaborators
  • Escalating critical issues with a focus on resolution
  • Develop and maintain functional training needs   
Role Specific Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in global and regional projects and initiatives by working closely with other functions in the regions and globally.
  • Provide and publish metrics information for regional CAO office, regional and global Operations in order to meet global operations control and monitoring needs.
  • Perform analysis and produce effective solutioning for the regional and global senior management.
  • Develop MIS solutions to promptly meet senior management's information needs and support time critical consolidation.
  • Establish strong working relationships with all partners throughout the Investment Management organization - across all functions and geographies.
  • Understand, collect and report regional project summary and provide project status update for regional and global reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in business/ related discipline or equivalent work/training required
  • 3-5 years or above relevant Financial Services industry work experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, Query based reporting and data visualizations tools, Business Objects Webi and QlikView 
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented and collaborative in approach, self starter, able to support function and business independently
  • Strong critical thinking skills – i.e. ability to analyze, synthesize and interpret data, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills – i.e. ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly and tailor approach depending on target audience, conflict management and negotiation skills; fluent in English, Mandarin will be a major plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and Senior Management
  • Proactive with high level of attention to detail; able to quickly shift priorities based on business needs
  • Able to use discretion and demonstrate sound judgment when working with highly confidential information
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work and deliver results quickly
  • Sound regulatory and business knowledge of Asset Management, Banking or Financial Institutions
