The Multi-Asset Solutions Group uses its capital markets, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and active risk budgeting capabilities to deliver customized, cross-asset class solutions to the investment management needs of individuals, pension plans, retirement plans, insurance plans, endowments, and foundations.

The Role:


This is an Associate or VP level role located at 60 Victoria Embankment, London. The London based team consists of a team of Associate & VP level team members across product support and will serve as the primary contact point for 20+ portfolio managers & traders. The Solutions Middle Office team is currently involved in the implementation a new suite of front-office applications and is undergoing a process re-engineering effort aimed toward 100% straight-through processing (STP).

The individual will be responsible for providing ongoing support to the Front Office by performing such tasks as:

  • Monitoring and maintaining the data integrity of Front Office systems
  • Conducting ongoing portfolio validation tests
  • Partnering with the Front Office, Core Operations, and Technology teams to resolve issues
  • Owning and driving process improvements for the Solutions business

As a member of the Middle Office, the individual will be also responsible for supporting various projects for the Front and Middle office and will work closely with the rest of the Middle Office team to:

  • Analyse and document current state business processes
  • Collect and analyse data, interpret results, and make recommendations to the Front Office.
  • Define, document, and implement improvements to processes

As part of the team’s strategy the individual will align themselves with one of the 4 EMEA investment teams within Solutions. This will enable them to more deeply understand the investment portfolios and what is needed by the investment teams to support them. 

  • Degree or relevant qualification/certification and/or relevant commercial experience
  • Strong understanding of Financial Services Ops including experience in areas such as Guidelines, PAG, Trade Support, Oversight
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues
  • Dynamic leadership; must be able to lead discussions and influence people
  • Organizational skills; track & troubleshoot complex issues and drive solutions
  • Understanding of financial instruments – Equities, Bonds, & Derivatives (listed & OTC)
  • Strong technical & analytical skills, expert level MS Excel skills
  • Familiarity with financial data vendors (Bloomberg / Thompson)
