Job Description:

We are presently seeking a Vice President and Senior Technology Project Manager to drive programs within our Corporate Compliance Anti Money Laundering (AML) Client List Screening Technology organization.  Our team provides support for applications that monitor and report on suspected anti-money laundering activities via screening activities of individuals and companies. 

Individual will create project plans, execute and manage efforts across the life cycle, and ensure the quality of individual deliverables as well as the quality of the overall business value delivered.  You will work closely with internal business partners on all phases of development, actively managing changing priorities and scope in support of regulatory and compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage work streams associated with AML Client List screening technology. 
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives
  • Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives
  • Direct communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis
  • Identify risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
  • Facilitate the adoption of standard processes and tools (i.e., status reporting, escalation of risks and issues, and change control)
  • Review, combine and summarize project updates into a weekly program update for Senior Management
  • Manage data, and produce metrics and reports required to track program progress, produce Senior Management scorecards, and support ad-hoc analyses
  • Develop presentations for Program Manager and Group Manager to use with Senior Management
  • Identify and work with key stake holders (Compliance & Operations), other business units, and other IT groups to coordinate and facilitate meeting goals while managing relationships with each.
  • Ensure project scope definition meets business objectives and business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives
  • Facilitate the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, deliverables and technical performance of projects and making sure that the plans for achieving these goals run smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Must have 10+ years of experience leading large-scale, global technology projects/programs 
  • Demonstrated experience driving projects to completion in Agile environment.
  • Information Technology experience; Financial or related financial industry experience
  • BA/BS in relevant Technology-related field (Computer Science, MIS, IS, EE, etc.)
  • Prior experience in the financial industry with AML Compliance Surveillance will allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running
  • Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries
  • Knowledge and experience using project management software such as Clarity, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive all tasks until objectives and dates are met
  • Experience in all phases of systems development/project life cycle; strong capabilities in managing the creation of high quality project deliverables
  • Detail-oriented coupled with the ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness  
  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-changing business questions and needs
Highly Desired:
  • Experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Sanction Screening, Investigations, or Data Management 
  • Aptitude for understanding both the business and technical specifics of that business
