The CIB Global Problem Management (GPM) team is part of the Production Management organization.  We are a global team with staff in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.  CIB GPM Problem Owners identify and solve our biggest problems – long-standing, complex technical problems that cause incidents and instability in the CIB Production environment.

  • Work on some of the most complex problems imaginable at the intersection of two dynamic industries: finance and technology
  • Influence and regularly interact with Senior Leaders of CIB Technology, driving large scale programs across 2000+ application teams
  • Influence decisions on tools strategy and implement innovative technology based solutions at the bank
  • Partner with other high-performing teams within JPM to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank 
  • Work with products that change how our clients operate, and how Banking is done today
  • Be critical in preventing repeat incidents, shifting how we manage problems from proactive to reactive.
As a member of our global team you will be responsible for creating innovative cloud based solutions that advance business needs within the Production Management environment. You will join an inspiring team of technologists dedicated to understand why failures occur and design solutions to reduce repeat incidents using natural language processing and machine learning.
The successful candidate will spend about 75% of their time collaborating with Global Incident Management to develop a predictive analytics tool that is using machine learning and natural language processing capabilities to classify incidents based on their root causes.
  • Developing specific enhancements and/or build new solutions to fulfill business objectives related to new business requirements.
  • Taking responsibility of the management of the project by leading scrum meetings, being in charge of the backlog and supervising intern(s) working on the project with you (Agile).
  • Defining the development plan and milestones, and ensuring delivery is in line with initial plan and strategy.
  • Working closely with other technology teams in Production Management to gain feedback and ensuring technology solutions meet business and client requirements (DevOps).
  • Documenting release procedures and support notes for deliverables and prioritizing knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Keeping the management and other key stakeholders up to date on the progress of what is being developed.
  • Working with the US based Production Stability Reporting team and act as their EMEA point of contact to support and oversee the daily BAU report generation process during the EMEA hours.
  • Maintaining & developing automated spreadsheets using VBA to free up resources within the Global Problem Management team in Bournemouth, Chicago and Houston.
  • Performing root cause analysis of P1 high priority incidents to drive quality improvements and compliance in the documentation of such incidents in order to minimize the number of repeat incidents within CIB.
Your Background:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sciences or a related subject.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
