The AM Strategy Team is based in New York, London and Hong Kong and partners with senior management across AM to deliver on their most important business strategies, analyzing business performance, measuring return on investments, and enhancing productivity and efficiency.  Projects include strategic analysis and business improvement projects that lead to profitable growth. This role will focus on AM but may occasionally work on projects spanning the entire Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) line of business and/or broader JPMC projects as well.


Role Profile

We are recruiting a Senior Associate based in New York. This person would be responsible for leading high-priority initiatives while developing and mentoring junior colleagues.  Projects would include strategic analysis, M&A strategic fit analysis, and business improvement projects that lead to profitable growth.  He or she would be expected to plan, design, and successfully execute solutions that impact the business and deliver results, while building strong relationships with senior management.

Work Experience and Education

  • Experience working at a top strategy or management consulting firm strongly preferred
  • Alternatively, will consider experience within a corporate strategy/development group or private equity
  • Demonstrated high level of performance
  • Experience in financial services required, with asset management (institutional and retail) preferred
  • MBA or equivalent advanced business degree preferred

Required Capabilities

  • Very strong analytical, conceptual and creative thinking, with ability to develop business insights and hypotheses
  • Strong quantitative skills, particularly designing complex models
  • Ability to build consultative relationships with senior management, working closely with them and becoming a trusted partner for thinking strategically about the business
  • Ability to develop clear, concise and pragmatic findings and recommendations, and strong communication skills including preparing and delivering well-designed presentations
  • Ability to scope and structure complex projects and manage multiple teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal leadership and influencing skills, including ability to achieve goals without direct control over resources
