Job Description:
Application Support Intern for Cash Equities and EDG Desk
Use effective research, solution analysis, concise documentation, effective written/verbal communication and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities include:
  • Daily support with resolution of escalated tickets and will act as liaison to business and technical leads to ensure issues are resolved in timely manner.
  • Effectively convey root cause analysis of issues to software development staff for process/software changes
  • Prioritize workload, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Perform in-depth research and identify sources of production issues.
  • Perform production support activities which involve assignment of issues/issue analysis and resolution within the specified SLAs.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer to ensure better grasp of the product and domain.
  • Suggest fixes to complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of the defect.
  • Improve, suggest and develop metrics reports for the team in order to comply with the regional metrics
  • Fluent in English;
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: professional, courteous, friendly, warm, empathetic, level-headed and composed
  • Flexible and adaptable to quick changing environment(s)
  • Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g. Powershell, Bash, SQL)
  • Strong programming logic and desirable working knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C++)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills and desirable deep working knowledge of Excel functionality (e.g. VBA, formulae and Pivot Tables)
  • Windows/Unix background
