Marketing is fast becoming a highly technology-powered discipline, with client’s expectations heavily influenced by digital disruption and innovation. Wealth Management Marketing Technology is an integral part in this arena to deliver a world class client-centric experience across the Private Bank, JP Morgan Securities, and Chase Wealth Management. We are continuing to standardize and evolve the marketing technology platforms supporting the Wealth Management businesses.

About the Position:

The Marketing Technology team is a motivated, forward thinking group comprised of high-talent individuals. We are focused on partnering with the Marketing Team to centralize and amplify content management, consolidate stand-alone digital experiences, and enable targeted campaigns, communications, and experiences. The Business Analyst will utilize their expertise in marketing and technology to begin the process of translating business needs into functional and system requirements. The Business Analyst will work extensively with Product, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Vendors to ensure the successful implementation of the program.

General Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements to understand business need, and determine how applications can functionally realize those needs.
  • Combine knowledge of business needs with knowledge of application flows to create functional requirements and write user stories.
  • Conduct story grooming sessions, and participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Product, Architecture, Software Engineering and Quality Assurance throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify, assess, and document business requirements; recommend business priorities; and advise on options, risks, and costs.
  • Facilitate project meetings and working sessions.
  • Communicate with Project Management on project progress.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure testing coverage and timely resolution of defects.
  • Maintain artifacts in Confluence, JIRA, and other repositories.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of Business Analysis experience. 
  • Domain knowledge in Marketing strongly preferred.
  • Solid experience in Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid software development methodologies highly preferred.
  • Excellent ability to effectively organize and manage multiple work efforts simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes.
  • Solid ability to analyze complex requirements and present findings to stakeholders in a simple and comprehensible manner.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Little to no supervision necessary.
  • Excellent writing skills, with solid experience in writing functional and technical documents and detailed user stories.
  • Advanced knowledge of collaboration tools like Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Advanced knowledge of Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
