Risk Management

The firm's ability to properly identify, measure, monitor, and report risk is critical to both its soundness and profitability. JPMorgan Chase believes in a holistic approach to risk analysis by incorporating key risk disciplines including Credit, Market, Principal, Liquidity, Operational, Model, Legal, Fiduciary and Reputation and weighing these against returns. 

Role Outline

Located in Geneva, the JPM Suisse Risk Business Manager will be part of the WM EMEA Risk Business Management team and the overall WM Risk Business Management team. The WM Risk Business Management team is part of the AWM Risk Business Management team and provides dedicate support to WM. The Suisse Risk Business Manager will provide ongoing support to the JPM Suisse Head of Risk and other Risk staff in the International Private Bank organization, and work in partnership with the WM and AM Risk Management team, the Business, Legal, Compliance, Controls Management and Technology.
  • Involve in and/or coordinate policy and regulatory processes (for example, regulatory exams, Consent Orders, MRAs, Audits)
  • Execute and support key Swiss-specific and EMEA-wide projects, such as MiFID II, FIDLEG, Brexit and Legal Entity Strategy, AML and KYC-related initiatives, Risk policy and Risk Appetite
  • Partner with the Leadership team to set priorities and develop strategy
  • Support senior management in JPM Suisse Risk team with the administration of governance fora, committees, team meetings, regulatory and corporate submissions
  • Prepare materials and minutes for regional Risk Committee and other Risk fora
  • Engage in the RCSA process, testing, and oversee the closure of Action Plans
  • Represent WM Risk and actively participate in cross-LOB Risk groups and initiatives
  • Continue to improve the governance framework and establish regional consistencies
  • Continue to drive the role of Risk and as an independent second line of defense function
  • Manage ad-hoc projects for WM Risk as required
  • Strong project management skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to learn complex processes that affect various functions and business units within Risk Management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • University degree; 2-4+ years Financial Industry Experience
  • Proficiency in English (required) and French (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the WM and/or AWM Business
