Duties: Design and develop ETL jobs using Informatica power center or Pentaho BI tool to bring structured and unstructured data into Data Warehouse or Data Mart. Schedule and Automate complex data management jobs using CA, Autosys, Tidal or similar job management tools. Design, develop, code, test, debug and document database structures and objects (Tables, views, procedures etc.). Create and Implement data models, database designs, and data access and data maintenance strategies. Design OLTP relation databases. Work with Information Architects to ensure proper Logical Data Models are defined correctly, including a data dictionary that can be used to validate attributes and values. Design and develop triggers, complex PL Sql queries and stored procedure, troubleshoot SQL code and shell scripts to support Service and Ops application. Document and implement logical data integration strategies for data flows between disparate source/target systems for structured and unstructured data into common data mart and the enterprise information repositories. Work on different POC on latest technologies and scale them to project level. Develop the database performance monitoring process and analyze data for optimization opportunities. Analyze across multiple data domains and define strategies to reduce data redundancy, improve data availability, and accessibility by partnering with other teams and deliver a maintainable and reusable data architecture. Administer data transformation processing architecture. Partner with technology partners, including business analysts, release management, infrastructure, and other developers, at all levels. Utilize Agile methodology and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. End to end projects via agile methodologies and working with the offshore team. This position does not supervise employees.     

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related technical field.

 

Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in Database & ETL based application development, or related experience.

 

Skills Required: Must have Relational DB experience in Sybase, Oracle & SQL for writing queries and stored procedures. Must have experience in Logical and Physical Data Modelling experience. Must have experience in designing and building large scale data systems. Must have experience in Unix, Shell, Perl, or Python. Must have experience in ETL tools including Informatica or Pentaho. Must have experience in batch jobs development using tools such as Autosys, Control M, or CA or similar tool. Must have experience in source code management techniques including SVN/Git or similar tool. Must have experience with Object-oriented design & programming skills. Must have corporate industry experience. Must have experience with organizing multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC Methodology to implement Data warehouse solutions. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
