The Regulatory Risk – Program Manager will be provide management of various technology risk management initiatives and activities related to regulatory requests in Asia. These include:

 

  • Supervisory Oversight and Regulatory Engagement Management
  • Regulatory Change Management
  • Regulatory & Risk Intelligence
  • Content Management
  • Tooling & Reporting

 

Success will require strong stakeholder management across different lines of business, functions and locations to ensure responses to regulatory requests are consistent and timely.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervisory Oversight and Regulatory Engagement Management
    • To oversee regulatory engagements in Asia and manage key supervisory reviews, including management of regulatory requests for information (RFIs), regulatory onsite visits and engagements with relevant technology groups to validate management response to RFIs.
    • To ensure the regional practices are aligned and consistent with the global operating model
  • Regulatory Change Management
    • To oversee and manage regulatory changes that impact technology in the region
    • To develop and ensure regional practices are governed, streamlined and seamlessly integrated within the global operating model
  • Regulatory & Risk Intelligence
    • To gather, analyze and communicate publicly available regulatory information relevant to IT Risk and Controls and the corresponding implications to the firm
    • To monitor the current regulatory landscape to proactively ensure internal standards and IT control policies are robust in anticipation of regulatory scrutiny
  • Content Management
    • To oversee the regional regulatory documentation management including working papers and artifacts
  • Tooling & Reporting
    • To develop strategic tooling requirements to facilitate management of regulatory engagements and changes
    • To communicate and ensure periodic and timely reporting of regional regulatory activities

In this role you will have an excellent opportunity to participate in a technology controls environment which will have a measurable impact on the firm’s Technology modernization.  Furthermore, you will build a detailed understanding of the workings of the APAC regulatory landscape, build strong relationships with senior Compliance and Risk individuals, be a part of the target state control processes and be a part of a solution which implements Regulatory Change efficiently and reliably.

We focus on areas like Oversight & Controls Technology, Cloud Controls, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and Third Party Risk Management.   • Must have some experience in a Technology delivery environment
  • Experience working with technology controls, excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience/understanding of control processes and models
  • Demonstrated experience with Project Management, ability to track items to closure
  • Ability to be flexible, organize and prioritize work, strong time management and multi-tasking skills and an ability to work well under tight deadlines and changing priorities, with attention to detail
  • High level ownership and responsibility. Ability to work with your manager to understand priorities and act on those
  • Team player with strong listening, consultative, communication, organizational  and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with global teams in different time zones, business and technology is desirable
  • Be comfortable communicating with both business and technologists of varying levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, business process knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Work independently, enjoy a fast-paced environment, handle multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Technology skills

    • Knowledge of Risk Management, and the current environment as it relates to Financial Institutions –  risk related certifications are a plus (CRISC, CISA, etc)
    • Proficiency in a Technology discipline (Software Development, Infrastructure, Technology Risk etc.)
    • An understanding of technology control processes, policy and standard management tools
    • An understanding of development tools and practices
