Job Summary:
 
The Analyst will have responsibility for the implementation aspects of a new resiliency software platform RDMS (Resiliency Database Management System) and GENT (Global Enterprise Notification Tool) for all Lines of Businesses within JPMC.  The individual will coordinate the firm-wide deployment of comprehensive and complex resiliency management and mass notification solutions, many of which will be occurring simultaneously in various development lifecycle stages.  This person will also have the responsibilities of providing training and ongoing support of the application, as well as serving as a liaison between technical Resources within the broader technology team and the lines of business, and define and ensure the successful delivery and support of both platforms.  This person will additionally serve as the system administrator and Level 3 support for the application and functionality, as well as contribute to the designs of additional capability development and deployment.
 
This position requires a strong background in system design and software development as well as a high level of expertise in business process re-engineering and business modeling concepts. The ability to communicate effectively is critical, as you will work closely both with groups inside and outside of the broader technology team to coordinate line of business strategy development, business priorities, and program roadmap definitions. Analytical skills are also critical as you will be responsible for project level requirements analysis and design/testing review to ensure line of business goals are successfully met with technology solutions. You will also be responsible for advising business and technology partners of solution options, risks, and approaches.
 
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
 
Overall Project:
  • Execute implementation strategies for complex multi-phase client solutions
  • Deliver and Maintain requirements analysis, functional design, and platform documentation artifacts
  • Support Administration functions of the technology platforms necessary to deploy and manage various system aspects.
Client Team:
  • Support team lead in conducting regular client project meetings to ensure adherence to project plan and milestones, facilitate timely issue resolution related to the implementation and serve as a point of escalation on behalf of the client.
  • Support team lead in conducting scoping meetings with Clients, gather and document solution, installation, and deployment requirements with client to ensure systems are properly rolled out.
  • Coordinate with internal parties to deliver the solution within the required timeframe for the client by providing regular verbal and written status updates to clients and business partners and by providing guidance to the client with respect to the tasks and their role within the plan and update key information and documentation in a timely manner
  • Assist with training Work streams following the project life cycle to deliver training solutions and plans for assigned projects
  • Work with the business owners of supporting applications (BAU) to ensure training is at its highest quality at all times.
Internal Team:
  • Working with technology teams to review technical designs and test plans/results to confirm that business and technology goals are met
  • Working with technology teams to articulate roadmap progress and coordinate with lines of business to make business decisions regarding solution constraints or directions
Qualifications:
  • The candidate must have a bachelor's of degree
  • 5+ years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on Business Systems Analysis, Systems Development, or Implementation management
  • 3+ years of technical delivery experience (Architecture, Application  Development, Usability Design, Project Management, or Quality Assurance)
  • Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to motivate, influence both the business and technical communities as well as consult and advise clients
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of full project lifecycle - ability to manage the processes of requirements gathering, analysis, testing, training, quality assessment
  • Ability to manage expectations and interactions between business and technology organizations.
  • Strong presence, comfortable interacting with, presenting to and influencing senior management
  • Ability to influence peers and senior team leaders necessary to accomplish team goals.
  • Proficient in handling multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, team environment and ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Fast Learner – able to grasp concepts from on the job training
  • Experience developing Functional Specifications, Process Flows, Use Cases and designing reports.
  • Have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office.  Proficient in various desktop and internet based applications;
  • Have a great sense of detail; know how to take on various duties in short time.  Be able to take initiative when needed
  • Proven ability to successfully negotiate / mediate / manage conflict and issues, proven team leadership and meeting facilitation skills
  • Timely escalation of critical and/or complex issues as required
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
  • Business Resiliency experience and technical aptitude pertaining to BIAs, Planning, Testing, Crisis Management and Reporting is desired.
  • Certifications in Business Continuity Planning / Disaster Recovery a plus
