Consumer and Small Business offers a broad array of credit cards to meet the needs of individual consumers and small businesses. Our portfolio includes Chase-branded credit cards - Sapphire, Freedom, Ink and Slate as well as co-branded credit cards offered in partnership with well-known brands and organizations, including AARP, Amazon, Disney, Marriott, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and many others in the United States and Canada.


The analytics manager will be the analytical expert of the team who provides dedicated analytical support to Amazon co-brand portfolio within the Partner organization. You will lead the analytical efforts to support the development and improvement of Acquisitions and Portfolio Marketing strategies. You will partner with strategic marketers to help them map their business goals into optimized marketing programs through your deep understanding and incorporation of quantitative analysis, customer profiling and segmentation analysis.

Your goal will be to make the insights generated from data analysis actionable to drive results with the Amazon co-brand products. Success in this role requires a strong foundation in data and analysis skills coupled with a proven ability to translate analytical insights in to comprehensive optimized marketing action plans. Expert communication and collaboration skills are a must in tandem with a deep desire to optimize marketing plans that deliver significant value to the organization.

The role requires constant interaction with marketing teams in the Partner business unit and on the Partner side, as well as additional analytical teams across Card Services’ center of excellence departments (such as Risk Management, Acquisitions, Finance, etc.).

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or related quantitative field; MBA/MS preferred
• 7-10 years of experience with SAS, SQL or other database tools and languages to assemble and manipulate data; experience using big data platforms (Oracle, Teradata) is required
• 7-10 years of doing Risk or Marketing analytics in the financial services industry (credit card experience preferred) with strong analytical, technical, and statistical skill. Ability to synthesize/analyze diverse information, develop and recommend strategies, and make decisions
• 2-4 years of marketing experience in relationship management, marketing strategy, portfolio management, loyalty programs, acquisition, and consumer product experience
• Superior project management, oral communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently and work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence business partners are keys to success
• Expert skills in Microsoft Word, Excel (including pivot table), and PowerPoint
• Strategic insight and ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
• Strong financial analytical skills to understand P&L drivers and key sensitivities
• Self-starter with out-of-the box problem solving skills who can provide thought leadership and drive results
• Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep numerous tasks on track and manage ad-hoc data to form insightful business analysis with aggressive turnaround timelines
