Duties: Analyze the organization's business needs and then the related design, implementation, and maintenance of the networkinfrastructure to support those business needs. Create network plans, ensure technology interoperability, document existing and proposed network infrastructure, maintain relationships with technical solution providers, and provide fourth tier troubleshooting/support. Recommend hardware and software to meet the organization's needs, as well as facilitating the rolling out of new equipment and systems, and ensuring that corrective and preventative measures are performed on existing equipment and systems. Provide technical leadership for major enterprise network infrastructure projects for all company data centers globally. Provide high level and detailed consulting as network subject matter expert. Deliver design proposals and helps plan network activities. Develop, communicate, and revise network standards. Evaluate, test and recommend network hardware and software. Perform large scale network planning. Plan, design and implement infrastructure projects, technical processes and procedures as they relate to network engineering. Develop and maintain network solutions and standards, documentation including high level and detailed designs, configuration templates, network diagrams, BoMs, etc. Assist in training and peer mentoring of Networking Engineers. Document medium-to-large scale projects and deliver presentations with minimal supervision. Provide feedback and strategic recommendations to management. Affect change within sphere of influence and lead development of innovative improvements. Perform Tier 4 support functions for network problems in accordance with problem management process which may involve problems in network as well as other managed devices and services. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in network engineering and design, or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience designing network solutions to support the global network, in line with strategic product selection rationale and global bank standards. Must have experience working with internal operations and engineering teams as well as external LoB’s to analyze business requirements and develop scalable, strategic and cost-effective solutions to meet specific business challenges. Must have experience creating network plans, ensuring technology interoperability, and documenting existing and proposed network infrastructure. Must have experience maintaining relationships with technical solution providers, and providing fourth tier troubleshooting/support. Must have experience performing large scale network planning. Must have experience developing and maintaining network solutions and standards, documentation including high level and detailed designs, configuration templates, network diagrams, and BoMs. Must have experience developing internal and external processes to streamline the operational use network services. Must have experience supporting the overall vision, mission, and objectives of global network services team. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
