Job Description:

Team overview: The Private Bank FX & Commodities desk (a) develops market views; (b) investigates and determines the best execution vehicles to express market views, both tactical and longer-term; (c) markets investment ideas; and (d) executes FX & Commodity trades. All members of the team are expected to help with all parts of this process. All members of the team, to different degrees, are client facing and help out with whatever needs attention regardless of seniority. The global team has desks in New York, London, Geneva and Hong Kong which work together closely.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 
  • Advise clients of the private bank on FX, Commodity and Interest Rates markets. Provide portfolio optimization recommendation and custom hedging solutions.
  • Price and execute FX, Commodity and Interest Rates trades (Spot, Forward, Derivatives, and Structured Products) for clients of the private bank.
  • Develop and present on investment ideas based on analysis of Macro markets
  • Build relationships with Private Bank investors and bankers throughout the US, Europe, and Asia
Desired Attributes:
  • Must be eligible to work in USA - New York
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in FX and/or Commodities markets
  • Candidate should have a strong understanding of Macro market with ideally some buy-side trading experience (although not mandatory).
  • The person for this particular role should have good knowledge of options theory.
  • Understanding of market risks from a pricing and execution perspective. Efficiency and accuracy in pricing various trade strategies.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Bloomberg
  • Follow economics, international finance, foreign exchange, commodities and international news events
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses required for position; however, unlicensed candidates considered but required to obtain licenses within 120 days of start date
