Associate
 
Credit Associate role based in London forming part of the Securitised Products and Real Estate Team within CIB Credit Risk EMEA.  The SP&RE Team covers ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLO, Conduit Financing, Corporate Clients, as well as other Structured Finance transactions in EMEA.
 
J.P.Morgan Credit Teams principally focus on the following: 
  • Actively participate in origination process, including transaction structuring, documentation and execution across a wide range of transaction / products
  • Perform client due diligence and credit analysis. Manage ongoing credit relationship with internal and external clients.
  • Assign internal ratings and pro-actively monitor and anticipate portfolio developments. Perform ongoing portfolio reviews, stress tests and other ad-hoc projects in order to ensure consistency and relevance of ratings.
  • Managing amendments, waivers and structural changes on transactions from a credit perspective
  • Facilitate flow business by establishing documentation and maintaining limits for securities trading / financing and derivative transactions (eg interest rate swaps, FX, Repos, commodities)
  • Responsible for a diligent management of team / portfolio metrics.
Key Skills and Experience: 
  • Demonstrate strong credit skills and judgment, with an intensive 'hands on' approach to analysing the details of credit and structure
  • Have good knowledge of transaction structures, documentation and banking products sufficient to assist with (or sometimes lead) the execution of new deals and amendments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Be able to establish credibility and trust with clients, product specialists and credit executives, and to partner with them effectively
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills. Intellectual flexibility to cover a wide range of products across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ability to think laterally around risk, particularly outside of credit risk
  • Relevant experience carrying out a similar position/function in a comparable environment. Previous experience in Structured Finance and/or Real Estate transactions is an advantage.
