Our Team
 
The Portfolio Analysis Group (PAG) within Asset and Wealth Management comprises a number of teams responsible for investment performance measurement for both client portfolios and investment strategies including, but not limited to, rates of return, contribution, attribution, risk analytics and investment reporting. In addition the Group is responsible for the construction and maintenance of performance composites. Wealth Management PAG in Geneva provides performance analytics for client portfolios and strategies across the International Private Bank (IPB).
 
The Role
 
As a Performance Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing a team focused on ensuring the quality of client investment performance returns across IPB, as well as the production of monthly hedge fund advisory client performance reporting. You will be expected to develop a close working relationship with your Operations and Technology counterparts to identify and resolve performance data quality issues and to develop and implement process improvements to enhance the overall accuracy of investment performance measurement in IPB.
 
 
Key Responsibilities Include:
 
  • Oversight of monthly return validation processes including completion of performance outlier controls
  • Oversight of daily performance loss monitoring and reporting
  • Oversight of the production of monthly Hedge Fund Advisory client performance reporting, completion of checker and supervisory reviews and supporting team members to resolve reporting issues
  • Partner with Operations and Technology managers to ensure timely resolution of data issues and drive process improvements to enhance the quality of performance information
  • Partner with our offshore teams to ensure consistent policies and practices, adherence to expected standards of quality and ensure activities are completed in appropriate locations
  • Design and implement processes to ensure efficient and accurate collection of monthly metrics information. Present metrics to the Global Head of PAG and to oversight committees
  • Represent the department in relevant international and global initiatives
  • Ownership of inter affiliate service agreements ensuring maintenance of up to date documentation and service level agreements

Requirements:
 
The role is suited to an experienced Operations or Performance Analysis manager with a proven track record of managing a team to meet challenging production deadlines and with an exceptional focus on risk and control.
 
You must be able to:
  • Develop production plans, track issues to resolution and escalate as appropriate
  • Develop methods to track production metrics, issues, trends and capacity, and report effectively to management
  • Interact and communicate at all levels within the organization, drive change and implement process improvements
  • Understand and manage operational risks, identify gaps and enhance controls
 
 
Expected qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or Science
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in a securities operations, portfolio analysis or similar role in Banking/Asset Management  
  • Excellent understanding and experience in managing operational risks
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Superior quantitative & qualitative analytical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and implement process improvements
  • Comfortable presenting to an audience
  • Highly committed with an ability to work under pressure
  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English
  • CIPM certificate is a plus
  • GIPS compliance knowledge a plus
