Job Description:


The Investor Services Sales Business Control Office (BCO) supports Investor Services Sales Line of Business (IS Sales) globally.  It is part of a wider Markets BCO team within JPMorgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank.  It acts as the First Line of Defence and is situated with, but is also independent from, IS Sales.   It is the single point of escalation for all IS Sales risk, control, and regulatory issues and partners with Legal, Compliance, Product Control, Risk, Technology, Operations and Audit functions aligned to IS Sales.
The BCO is responsible for:
  • Setting standards and providing the tools and infrastructure to mitigate the risks in  IS Sales
  • Ensuring appropriate mechanisms and governance exist to identify, quantify and manage the risks in IS Sales
  • Coordinating monthly governance committees that provide opportunity for all relevant functions to provide updates to IS Sales Senior Management.
  • Continuous process improvement to ensure that controls remain appropriate
  • Front Office supervision management 
  • Control and regulatory governance management
  • RCSA, risk event governance, control deep dives
  • Management/processing or Operational Risk Events, Data Breaches, Client Accommodations for LOB
  • Cross Border supervision management

The Role requires you to establish strong relationships with IS Sales and Functional partners, a deep understanding of the business, its control challenges, its architecture and products.  The candidate should be interested in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, participating in key initiatives and becoming involved in a diverse set of issues that will have a direct impact on the organization

  • Understanding of both JPMorgan’s controls framework and Investor Services is highly desirable
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership
  • Good organizational skills - manages & prioritizes multiple tasks across different time horizons/deadlines
  • Investigative mindset, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail
  • Understanding of controls and how to apply them to different processes and businesses
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering ability
  • Strong team player with excellent partnering and influencing aptitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
