Job Description:
The Merchant Services Product Readiness Lead position resides within the Product organization.  Each Product Readiness Lead covers a specific segment (i.e., SMB, CB, or CIB) and reports to the head of Segment Solutions for the respective segment.  The Product Readiness Lead will oversee the commercialization of new product launches and enhancements to existing products, as well as readiness for major change events that impact the segment.
 
Specifically, the Vice President, Product Readiness Lead will work closely with Product Managers as well as the Operational and Client teams to: establish readiness strategy, develop and execute communication strategies, define readiness process, and support client and operations teams in developing procedures required for effective product delivery.  Additionally the readiness team is responsible for developing and delivering product support materials, supporting sales plan creation, identifying and managing pilot plans, and monitoring product KPI and KRIs following implementation.  The Product Manager acts as the subject matter expert for the product functionality and defines the product roadmap and business requirements for enhancements—the Product Readiness Lead then provides thought leadership and hands-on support on how to best bring those capabilities to the market.
Essential components of the role:
  • Define, communicate, and execute product readiness plans ensuring the product release cycle is effectively and efficiently executed in concert with operational and client team readiness
  • Collaborate across all departments, identifying stakeholders and performing impact analysis defining the readiness requirements (operational and client team) ensuring readiness work and process revisions are fully defined, and completely ready for planned implementation dates
  • Contribute to project planning process to ensure all readiness activities are included and tracked in the project delivery schedule
  • Act as the Readiness key point of contact, participating and contributing in project and release meetings
  • Develop and/or maintain product documentation and SharePoint knowledge sites
  • Become the subject matter expert to support business process questions, sales presentation and messaging deliverables, and training content planning and delivery
  • Deliver and/or coordinate and facilitate product training and knowledge transfer sessions to impacted audiences as requested

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters/MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience including combination of project management, product management, and payments industry experience
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills; Highly organized, able to manage multiple initiatives at a time always remaining poised and positive even in situations influenced by frequent change, disagreement, stress, and ambiguity
  • In depth knowledge and experience supporting servicing, operations, sales and relationship management teams
  • Strong collaboration and relationship skills, including the ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker, ability to understand and identify cross functional impacts and risks to the business, functional teams and clients
  • Independent self- starter with high energy, initiative, and a strong sense of urgency with proven ability to prioritize and efficiently complete assignments on time while maintaining the highest quality
