Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) serves as the central provider of technology infrastructure to JPMorgan Chase. Integrated Compute Services (ICS) is accountable for the core distributed hosting infrastructure (managed services, server, SAN, NAS, backup, automation, etc.) within the bank, across plan, build and operate functions. 
The organization is transforming into a Managed Services provider for JPMC and drives product management, engineering standards, automation,  and productivity initiatives in support of the Managed Services. Within GTI, ICS works in partnership with Infrastructure Platform & Deployment who provide infrastructure build and deploy capabilities, and with Service Operations (SO) who provide L1 & L2 operational support of the ICS technologies.
This role will report to the Head of Infrastructure Software Development (ISD) India Design Center
The ISD team will: 
  • Support the infrastructure software development across all JPMC’s Compute and Storage services
  • Drive new product/service innovation
  • Establish and enforce consistent software development process across GCS
  • Partner with the GTI architecture and product teams to ensure the alignment with overall product design and requirements
• Learn our process and procedures including release management
• Maintain ESXi and vCenter builds, including certification of updates, security errata and maintenance releases
• Work with storage, network, OS and tools teams to ensure solutions mesh correctly
• Work with  build, operation and vendor teams to support delivered solutions
• Work with vendors to resolve issues
• Certification of new hardware for ESXi releases
• Manage and prioritize with other team members support and enhancement requests
• Maintain good documentation on our customer facing Wiki
• Document and maintain core standards and procedures
• Respond to Cyber related events and requests
• Propose new concepts/solutions or research projects to team and ICS engineering teams

• VMware vSphere 5.x  competence with at least 3+ years’ experience in large enterprise
• Scripting proficiency with PowerShell, Python or Perl
• Strong experience in deploying and operating Linux and/or Windows
• Experience with enterprise IT tools
• Good team ethics and know what it takes to make a successful team

Required Skills
• Strong Technical Ability
• Ability to work and communicate well with a global engineering team, support and customer base
• Proficiency in Python, PERL, Shell Scripting and macros
• Strong experience in deploying and operating Linux, UNIX and/or Windows at the SA level with a strong bias
towards automated deployment and operations experiences
• Good understanding of VMware and X86 Hardware
• Good understanding of Configuration Management
• Ability to innovate
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
