Morgan Asset Management’s top strategic priorities is to become a leader in both employer-plan and individual retirement – by expanding existing businesses and launching new initiatives.  In an evolving landscape, the Retirement Insights program is designed to provide defined contribution plan sponsors, financials, and individuals with the insights and tools they need to make informed retirement decisions. The team, working closely with business and sales, is responsible for developing original research, strategists’ perspective on retirement issues, analysis of legislative and regulatory developments, and a wide range of educational materials.
Position Description
This is a tremendous opportunity for a talented strategic thinker and marketer to join the Retirement Insights team. The position, based in New York, is responsible for the development and launch of various Retirement Insights initiatives as well as ongoing management of existing programs. The position will focus on defined contribution initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Leverage both prior marketing experience and the latest industry techniques to come up with new creative ways of strengthening the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Retirement Insights brand
  • Identify new opportunities and develop new digital, print and video content based on strategic priorities, usage analysis, market conditions as well as input from sales, product strategy and other stakeholders
  • Project manage the development of new defined contribution focused thought leadership
    • Investment themes – work closely with the asset class portfolio managers and editorial team on the structure and development of content
    • Other themes – work closely with various thought leaders in retirement on strategic ideas we want to support and promote
  • Ownership of the production and execution of the Legislative & Regulatory Program
  • Ownership of  the quarterly and annual updates to the Target Date Compass Program
  • Coordinate with cross-channel communications team on internal and external promotion
  • Responsible for inventory management and ensuring ongoing compliance of all materials
  • Develop and deliver training content to promote various programs, when appropriate
  • Develop relationships with key  retirement subject matter experts to stay up to date on areas of focus and development
  • Interact with sales management and sales teams on the development of new ideas as well ongoing training
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate should be a dedicated, driven professional looking to help develop and promote JP Morgan’s retirement thought leadership in a digital world.  The role provides the opportunity to further develop deep expertise in the retirement industry, while gaining broad exposure across JPMC.  Key required skills and experience include:
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of digital content management and marketing campaigns
  • Strong project management skills
  • Superior writing, editing and presentation creation skills
  • Highly organized and very detail oriented
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to individually drive initiatives
  • Must be a team player with ability to work in a matrix organization structure
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills – ability to interact with top business executives

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Considering candidates with 2-8 years of work experience (preferably in marketing or communications)
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses, a plus
