As an integral component of the Common Customer Authentication program, the Authentication Rules Management and Reporting (ARMR) team uses the Sapiens Decision Tool to address the risk of identity theft and prevent account takeover within the bank.
This role will focus primarily on managing the treatment of customers through a variety of authentication channels in card, retail, and digital lines of business.  As part of your responsibilities, you will create and revise decisions within a repeatable framework for rule development that allows for flexibility in responding to risk triggers at multiple decision points. Additionally, you will collaborate with business, policy, and technology stakeholders to monitor the efficacy of the strategies and respond with revisions as needed. On an on-going basis, you will maintain an acute awareness of identity theft trends and changes in operations to offer multifaceted solutions. 
 
As a Business Process Analyst I you will:
  • Understand the business objectives and interpret requests to build and revise decision models
  • Design decision models and write conditional logic statements to address the risk of current fraud trends that circumvent or defeat customer authentication
  • Operate within a developing framework of a rule change request process; at times, acting as the gatekeeper for approvals, assessing ARMR impact, and offering alternative solutions
  • Create and implement testing plans to ensure the rule meets the expected business objective before integration with other IT logic
  • Take ownership of your work in an iterative process to rework and refine decisions and rules
  • Offer innovative solutions that balance customer impact, operational cost, and authentication risk
  • Determine the reporting needs and methodology to confirm business case costs, benefits, quality, and efficacy of rule changes
  • Design, monitor, and interpret reports related to authentication outcomes
  • Support requests for specific data file maintenance; adhering to the required control procedures
Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data
  • Requires proficiency in SQL or in Business Intelligence Software (SAS, COGNOS, Webstat, SAS, Tableau, Cognos, Business Objects)
  • Requires skills linking data from multiple sources to answer business questions
  • Requires experience designing and performing detailed testing of queries, software or rules
  • Ability to tackle complex problems and recommend innovative solutions that address subtle nuances
Preferred Experience:
  • Preferred proficiency in Sapiens Decision software or decision management
  • Knowledgeable of Fraud Trends, call center authentication practices and/or risk analysis
  • Skilled at defining metrics that demonstrate the improvement/value of a rule/strategy
