Job Description:

Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI) within the Commercial Banking Group at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for managing client relationships with public and private companies across the United States.  CCBSI advises companies as they seek to raise debt and equity capital in the public and private markets.   In addition, CCBSI advises clients on Cash Management, Interest Rate Risk Management, Foreign Exchange, and Global Treasury Solutions.  Our business partners within JPMorgan include product specialists from Investment Banking (Syndications, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, etc), as well as partners from Treasury Services, Asset Management & Private Banking.

 

The Chicago based Analyst I position will primarily support the CCBSI-Midwest Banking Team, a regional group within CCBSI responsible for covering Diversified companies in the Midwestern United States.  Functional support for these banking coverage teams includes, among other things, pitch book preparation, financial modeling, accountability for transaction execution, as well as coordination among analysts, associates, senior deal team members, credit underwriting, investment banking and compliance/legal.  As a member of the team, Analysts play a critical role in all aspects of transaction execution and are expected to learn the full breadth of JPMorgan product/service offerings.  The successful completion of a formal Analyst training program offered by JPMorgan during your first year of work will be expected.

 

The final title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer --- it may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level.


    Qualifications
      • 1+ years of Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or related work experience strongly preferred
      • BA or BS undergraduate degree required
      • Strong finance and/or accounting coursework during or post college required; Finance or Business major preferred
      • Strong analytical and modeling skills required
      • Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills required
      • Highly organized and proactive, with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
      • Highly motivated, productive team player ---- partnership and teamwork skills are essential
      • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
      • Positive, can-do attitude --- enthusiasm for learning and helping clients
      • Proficient in Excel and Power Point
      • Series 79 and 63 licensed (or must obtain post hire)
      • Excellent reviews and referrals from your current manager, peers or advisor/professors
      • Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
