Function Description
 
The JP Morgan Fund Accounting Team provides a range of services to mutual fund & pension clients based in Europe. The Fund Accountant (FA) is responsible for the day-to-day production, validation & delivery of Financial Statements of Accounts & Net Asset Value (NAV) that are delivered to clients & sub-advisors. A broad knowledge of fund accounting is required as the FA takes ownership for the accuracy of all accounting and investment components of the financial statements.
 
Summary of Function
 
Multi-Currency Account Services enables clients to make payments and collect funds internationally (wire payments and receipts, check/draft disbursements and check collections) in over 40 currencies. The payments can be used for settlement of FX, Securities contracts, for commercial and/or third party payments.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repair & verify incorrectly formatted electronic and manual payments, receipts and ATR instructions into funds transfer system (FTS) supporting Multi-Currency Account Services against the original message in a timely manner for London and Luxembourg branch.
  • Perform various processing functions and branch-specific tasks ensuring all relevant deadlines and stipulated controls are met.
  • Ensure transactions are processed in accordance with documented procedures on the QMS and all errors are identified with timely feedback and escalation.
  • Perform end of day processing for London and Luxembourg Branches
  • Identify ways to improve quality in processing all transactions and achieve target on productivity and quality.
  • Ensure risk and escalation procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Participate in the rotation of functions within the group ensuring no degradation to work flows.
  • Participate in councils and other activities of the firm.
  • Comply with the firm's service policies, systems and legal compliance regulations, as well as products and services.
  • Complete all mandatory training courses before the set due date.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor / manager.

Essential

Desirable

  • Previous banking experience within an operational environment exposed to different payment systems
  • Experience in banking (Cash Operations) and background in SWIFT messaging
