Chase Small Business Card Services, a business unit of JPMorgan Chase, is a leading national Small Business Administration lender in the United States. A Vice President in Small Business Credit Card analytical team will allow you to have chance to learn, develop, grow and make big business contributions via providing thought leadership and analytic skills to develop, monitor and manage credit risk strategy, marketing strategy and control procedures. Ability to identify key problems, conduct in depth research, and articulate well the defined proposed solutions is essential.

  • Conduct analyses assessing small business credit card customer P&L, revenue, risks and opportunities to develop new strategies and drive healthy business growth with full cycle view of risk and profitability
  • Develop and apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data sets from multiple sources (including consumer data, and commercial credit information) to develop the best of class risk strategy in the industry through advanced analytical and segmentation techniques
  • Lead and train the junior analysts to understand the data and find innovative solutions to complex business problem and drive healthy business growth with full cycle view of loss and profitability
  • Deep understanding of business with good data analyses to support initiatives from marketing, underwriting risk, portfolio risk, authorization risk, and other risk functional teams with strong partnership with finance.
  • Create documentation to include the results and present to senior managers.
  • Work with execution team to implement, validate, and monitor the strategy quality and its performance; Ensure robust control and governance to manage operational risk.
  • Work with governance and control groups to support internal audit and external regulatory requests.
  • Manage projects in a cross-functional orgs working collaboratively across Risk COE's and xLOB partners, such as Business Banking and commercial banking.


  • MS or PhD degree in Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Applied Economics, Decision Science, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
  • 5+ years of relevant analytics/modeling/optimization experience. Experience in financial industry is preferred.
  • Proven innovative thinker with quick learning ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in a thoughtful and organized manner to develop strategy recommendations.
  • Expertise with software packages including SAS/Python/R, SQL, Machine Learning, Enterprise Miner/Knowledge Seeker/CART, MS Office
  • Result oriented with attention to details and good sense of responsibility
  • Ability to present to Senior Management displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence outcomes.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience in modeling or strategy team and familiarity with Commercial Credit Bureaus is a plus
