Vice President – Business Analyst & Reporting Manager (Commercial Real Estate)
 
 
Commercial Banking (CB) delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and dedicated service to more than 24,000 global clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations along with nearly 35,000 real estate investors/owners. 
This role would specifically support Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Operations. The CRE Operations organization (consisting of CTL, REB, and CDB) is an extremely successful business with an intense focus on providing value to customers through an optimal loan originations process. 
 
The successful candidate will join a global Management Reporting & Analytics (MR&A) group, supporting the Commercial Real Estate Originations Operations in CB. Originations Operations consists of a variety of functions, including Loan Processing, Know Your Customer (KYC), HMDA Reporting, Cancel/Denial Processing, Insurance Ordering, and Closing.  He/she will learn core business processes and partner with CRE Operations teams, Technology teams, and MR&A team resources to lead both strategy and execution of a comprehensive operational metrics reporting & analytics program.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Define, monitor, and report key management metrics; especially as they relate to key CRE business initiatives such as leveraging data from the new loan originations platform and eSignature/electronic document exchange tools
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand diverse reporting requirements and serve as a thought leader in simplifying the execution of data management and reporting processes, as well as metrics definitions
  • Conduct time studies for each key process to understand organizational and activity-level effort requirements. Manage ongoing time study refresh in response to material process changes
  • Refine headcount capacity and forecasting models to ensure appropriate staffing levels in anticipation of expected volume patterns; refresh based on actually observed monthly volumes
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to process improvement analysis and “what-if” scenario modeling
 
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of total experience within MIS, Operations, Finance, and/or Management Consulting roles.  The successful candidate will have a unique mix of technical data skills and business acumen, with strong past experience in operational process monitoring & management. 
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, senior manager-level reporting and analysis from diverse, complex data sources.  Attention to detail a must with focus on executive quality presentation
  • Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability 
  • Advanced-level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, VBA, PowerPoint)  
  • Proficiency with data analysis toolset required: databases, SQL and visualization  
  • Experience in banking, with a focus on  Commercial Real Estate preferred 
  • Experience with data visualization software. E.g., Qlik Sense preferred  
  • BS/BA required; quantitative focus strongly preferred
