Wealth Management Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Asset & Wealth Management line of business. The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals. Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations. Wealth Management Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with client service, fiduciary, product specialty groups, third party vendors and other internal groups.

 

An Account Opening Analyst is responsible for all manual account opening (Domestic and International) on various systems that fall outside of our straight through processing tool. They are also responsible for completing maintenance functions on newly opened accounts. Exception reporting is done to ensure data quality as well as undertaking various projects to improve efficiency/risk, analyzing updates that are requested, and assisting various people in the organization with the more difficult account opening issues that come up due to the very complex systems environment within Private Banking. Account Opening Analyst are called upon to be a part of many project teams as the subject matter expert on what impacts the functions and/or systems utilized by the team.

 

In order to perform effectively in this function, an Account Opening Analyst must have strong verbal and written communication skills. They must be comfortable communicating to all levels and have an analytical approach to problem solving. They must work effectively in a team environment and must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Moreover, the specialist must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously to effectively meet required deadlines. This individual must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize projects in addition to their daily work. It is also imperative that the Account Opening Analyst has excellent PC knowledge to be able to navigate through multiple applications and systems.

 


Responsibilities
  • Review, validate and authenticate all account opening and maintenance forms for completeness and accuracy and perform quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of data and information being processed by team.
  • Ensure instructions are properly authorized per current approval guidelines
  • Perform all account opening functions for Private Banking and Private Wealth Management clients utilizing banking, fiduciary and brokerage capabilities. This includes but is not limited to the following systems: OUI, Customer Assist, OMNI, PBIS, DST, Olympic, CASS II, AMF and Workstation.
  • Coordinate the opening for the Private Banking/Private Wealth Management clients utilizing our Investment Management capabilities. This includes the setup of the accounts on the systems and the creation and establishment of the authorized portfolio guidelines for each investment management client. Any variation to these portfolio guidelines will also be coordinated through the Client Information Account Specialist to ensure that the necessary systems are updated with the new investment guidelines.
  • Production Coordinator role - assigning requests and investigations received to individuals on the team, monitoring SLA, escalated items, etc.
  • Assess business risks and ensure that adequate controls are in place
  • Represent team as subject matter expert on cross-functional business initiatives and projects.
  • Effectively communicate status and issues to interested parties.
  • Document process flows and procedures
  • Create presentations and assist in data gathering.
  • Document and research enhancement requests
  • Participate in defect and issue resolution during QA and UAT testing cycles.
  • Create, track, document and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts
  • Assist with requirements information gathering
  • Participate in weekend application testing
  • Participate in Account Opening project related activities.
