The Firm’s Corporate Treasury function and the Chief Investment Office (together referred to as “Treasury/CIO”) manage the Firm’s balance sheet. This includes activities such as:
  • Deploying the Firm’s excess liquidity
  • Managing the Firm’s funding and liabilities
  • Managing the Firm’s structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk
  • Managing the Firm’s liquidity risk and its regulatory compliance

The Treasury/CIO Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for ensuring high-quality data is available to support these activities. The Treasury/CIO Chief Data Office (CDO) implements firmwide data management standards and focuses on aligning T/CIO's data strategy to critical business initiatives, improving data capabilities and managing data compliance. The mission of the group is to provide a data strategy which will allow for better client service, more efficient and effective risk management, as well as operational & technological efficiencies. Our clients are primarily T/CIO Risk, Finance, Strategy and Operations teams.

The CDO Risk Data Solutions Leader partners with portfolio strategy, interest rate risk management, liquidity risk management to:
  • Improve efficiency and decision-making capabilities through enhanced access to data
  • Ensure appropriate data controls are in place
  • Resolve data quality issues
The Risk Data Solutions Leader reports to the Treasury/CIO Chief Data Officer and will be managing a small team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • •Identify and recommend solutions to reduce manual processes and enhance analytical capabilities
  • Resolve data quality issues impacting risk stakeholders: identify root causes, determine appropriate remediation owner, obtain commitment and track to closure
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize data opportunities and partner with technology to implement solutions
  • Work with stakeholders to define data requirements arising from evolving regulations and new business initiatives
  • Drive adoption of data controls in the risk aggregation platforms
  • Communicate reference data requirements to central teams
  • Coordinate with the Firm’s Finance and Risk Roadmap program to ensure synergy with strategic plans and partnership to resolve upstream data quality issues
  • Drive a data-centric culture, emphasizing “data management is everyone’s responsibility”
  • Prepare executive presentations and lead meetings
  • People management and development

Experience Required
  • 15 years experience in a major financial services organization
  • 10 years experience in risk management, risk measurement, or risk reporting
  • 5 years in a senior management role, with firmwide or cross LOB responsibility
  • 5 years experience driving process improvements
  • Degree in risk, finance, or related field
