Based in Brazil and reporting to the Brazil HR Country Head, the successful candidate will work primarily with the Corporate Investment Banking Team as the HR Business Partner supporting the areas and gain the role of trusted advisor. As a member of this office you will partner closely with HR colleagues in Brazil and from other locations including the US and the Line of Business (LOB) managers to provide strategic HR solutions based on business needs and priorities. The person in this role will also support the day-to-day HR activities by ensuring transactions are executed and offering assistance in a timely, efficient and productive manner.
 
Main Responsibilities
 
Customer service
  • Provide strategic HR guidance and support to the managers of the lines of business with respect to the people strategy of the area;
  • Work as an advisor in HR matters, for employees and former employees being the point of contact for the LOB's for any HR issues;
  • Regular interaction with the LOB's to understand the needs and propose HR support;
  • Main contact for the line of business for HR related to performance, talent & development and training;
  • Employee relations responsibilities;
  • Provide information about policies, working conditions, JPMC background company and position.
Recruitment and staffing
  • Coordinate with the business aligned recruiter and actively share business information in order to promote the presentation of the candidates with the best profiles for the role.
 
Training and development
  • Define training needs with LOB managers and work with the T&D area;
  • Help identify local talent and build strong development & career plans together with LOB;
  • Coordination language needs with the LOB;
  • Coordination of Performance Management Tools;
  • Coordination of succession planning for Brazil.
Support HR related regulatory requirements
 
  • Work with the HR Country Head on HR projects - Assign, design, follow up, implement and control;
  • Consolidate the information to update the HR Policy Manual;
  • Significant number of years of human resources experience required - financial services industry preferred;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnerships with clients and HR colleagues, and deal effectively with all levels of staff and management;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work well under pressure is essential;
  • Strong analytical skills, capability to translate numbers into business information to support the decision making process;
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task with a control mindset;
  • Creative and proactive approach to problem solving and execution;
  • Proficiency in Excel required;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English with business related experience in negotiating in these languages;
  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Psychology or equivalent.
