The Interest Rate Risk Management (IRRM) function provides risk coverage for the Firm and Line of Business interest rate risk exposure arising from the firm’s traditional banking activities which includes the extension of loans and credit facilities, taking deposits and issuing debt (collectively referred to as ‘non-trading activities’), and also the impact from the CIO investment securities portfolio and other related CIO and Treasury activities.
IRRM is responsible for but not limited to creating governance over IRR assumptions and parameter selection/calibration, identifying and monitoring interest rate risk and establishing limits. IRR Management is responsible for the oversight of risk management policies which establish requirements to measure monitor and control the firm’s IRR.
CTC seeks to hire an Analyst to join its EMEA IRR Management (IRRM) function. The position offers the opportunity to participate in the ongoing governance and controls management for IRRM. This includes providing day to day administration of our operating model and review of Legal Obligations (OLO). The team partners with a wide breath at the Firm, from Legal Entity CROs, Lines of Businesses, other internal Risk groups, Corporate Treasury to the ALM analytics group. In addition, the individual will be responsible for legal entity projects and involved in direct interaction with external regulators to address questions raised during examinations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Participate in the development of proposals for IRR LE monitoring. Support the development and build-out of the IRR management process and framework
Work with Regional and LE Risk Managers and relevant risk groups to develop and maintain the risk governance framework including policy review, standards and best practices
Managing the pipeline, inventory and workflow of new Legal Obligations assigned to IRR Management
Coordination of Legal Obligation review, mapping and documentation with the program team and business managers
Communicating OLO program status and information regularly with our management team
Participate in the modeling aspect, stress/assumption review and the application of IRRM
Prepare executive presentations and respond to urgent ad-hoc requests from senior management
Contribute to responses on regulatory requests
Experience in financial services or related field (previous experience in Controls management, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Internal/External Audit or other control function is desired)
Experience reviewing or advising on policies and frameworks is desired
Strong project management skill
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Eager to learn and able to quickly understand new and complex issue
Self-motivated, diligent, strong sense of accountability and good at following up on issues
Superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines
