Department Description:
 
AM Finance fulfils the dual responsibility of providing both legal entity control and management information  within the Line of Business.  The Legal Entity Control  & UK Regulatory Reporting Group(LEC) within AM Finance has the primary responsibility for ensuring financial integrity within all AM UK entities, maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements and ensuring a strong control environment exists, as it relates to all products and operational areas that affect the financial accounts. 
 
Role:
 
The Legal Entity & Regulatory Reporting Analyst will be a part of a team that has responsibility for the financial integrity, analysis and reporting for one or more legal entities.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
The applicant will have a combination of the following key responsibilities:
  • Perform banking payments, primarily internal but some external, covering a number of Legal Entities. Become familiar with all aspects of the payment process and controls;
  • Balance sheet reconciliation - responsibility for ensuring certain general ledger accounts are fully reconciled and reported;
  • Investigation and explaination of reconciliation breaks and aged analysis of balances;
  • Monitoring of interentity balances and settlement;
  • Support the daily BAU requirements of the LEC group;
  • Calculate and  record financial information within the General Ledger in relation to key  revenues, expenses and balance sheet accounts;
  • Support the preparation of regulatory filings with regulators
  • Enhance key controls within the LEC and Regulatory teams;
  • Support the wider LEC/Regulatory group in new initiatives and projects.

 

  • AAT qualified or graduate with first accounting level exams completed;
  • Understanding of general ledger control and performance of financial reconciliations required;
  • Previous exposure to regulatory reporting or consolidations is desirable;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Strong PC skills (Excel and Word);
  • Strong team player;
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality;
