CIB - Investor Services - Trust & Fiduciary Services, Luxembourg Depositary Services Manager – ED
 
Reporting to the Luxembourg Head of Depositary, this ED role will be the location lead of our Depositary Services in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the alignment of strategic direction and thought leadership with the policies and processes of our Luxembourg Depositary business. The Luxembourg Depositary Services Manager leads and coaches the local Depositary Services team, ensures compliance to the national rules and regulations, to our European operating model, and focuses on further developing our strategic partnerships with our clients, our other partners and stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead the Depositary team to further refine and develop its capabilities during a period of significant regulatory evolution and business growth.
  • Ensure an appropriate balance between best in class Depositary performance and end to end customer service.
  • Foster and further develop strategic partnerships with our clients, our other partners and stakeholders.
  • Lead by example, participating in and being actively engaged in the day to day and strategic oversight activities.
  • Assess the evolving Depositary operating model and product differentiators and develop a philosophy of continuous improvement.
  • Engage with our internal partners to ensure the Depositary strategy is comprehensive and supports the wider Investor Services objectives appropriately.
  • Ensure the Luxembourg Depositary Bank is at all times compliant with applicable laws and regulations
Demonstrated qualities:
  • Extensive experience of the Investment Management industry, either directly or as a service provider.
  • Detailed understanding of the Depositary concept and the responsibilities as they impact J.P. Morgan and our clients.
  • Broad commercial expertise combined with a background and experience of contractual and related legal processes.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management capabilities, either from a direct leadership role, or through comparable means
  • Strong analytical skills to review evolving market practices, assess oversight metrics and results, and identify trends to help maintain an efficient and effective oversight model.
  • High emotional intelligence, with sound networking and influencing skills to help the Depositary team be effective, drawing on expertise from internal and external partners.
  • Excellent English language skills preferably combined with working proficiency French and/or German skills.
