The strategy and planning function within the CIB Banking Technology sector operates with an overarching goal of ensuring the success of the Chief Business Technologist (CBT) driving matters related to portfolio planning and delivery, execution of strategic initiatives, resource planning and allocation, interlocks with key stakeholders, client engagements, overall governance and organizational engagement.
The remit of the strategy and planning manager comprises of the following –
  • Organize and prioritize issues critical to the success of the CBT portfolio facilitating effective decision making
  • Drive the investment planning and budgeting in line with key business priorities
  • Create effective presentation materials depicting a consistent message on technology priorities to technology and business (internal and external) stakeholders
  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives across different teams
  • Lead the organizational engagement and workforce evolution agenda in terms of ensuring all staff are aligned to deliver to business and technology priorities
  • Interact with the HR function to ensure all staffing matters are addressed properly and smoothly


  • 7 + years of program management experience preferably in large-scale IT implementations
  • Degree in Business Administration or related filed preferable
  • Impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of effectively interacting  and influencing senior management
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across teams
  • Effective,  adaptable, versatile and action-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
