Position Overview
The Role:
The Market Research Senior Associate will lead traditional primary and secondary research initiatives for the Commercial Card lines of business.  Supporting product, marketing and strategic initiatives, the Market Research Senior Associate will have the opportunity to drive innovation and growth of the business by bringing the voice of the customer into the decision-making process.
Key responsibilities include:     
  • Manages complex and/or large research projects including: definition of objectives, vendor evaluation and selection, determination of methodology, sample design, questionnaire development, monitoring of data collection, analysis and presentation of findings and recommendations to management.
  • Provides consultation to management within the line of business or to other lines of business on research needs and methods.
  • Develops and directs a variety of market research projects to provide management with information on customers, prospective customers, competitors, and new or existing services.
  • Directs and manages suppliers and customer panels in conducting specific projects.
  • Utilizes or develops new research techniques.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills across a variety of methodologies are critical for success in this role; experience using Primary and Secondary research to tell a holistic story is required.
  • Will possess excellent research project management skills & the ability to manage multiple market research projects simultaneously; comfort with directing vendor activities
  • Will have a keen ability to translate business challenges into research objectives
  • Works well in a matrixed organization, is able to build relationships with colleagues across lines of business and locations
  • Has the ability to take learnings from research and turn it into strategic, actionable recommendations for the business – identifying the “so what” and the “now what”
  • Ideally has a mix of supplier-side and client-side market research experience
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present clear, actionable recommendations to all levels of the organization
  • Is strongly self-motivated, but able to work well as part of a team
  • Possesses a true passion for consumer insight and customer experience with a desire to impact the organization
  • Has a Bachelor’s Degree in related field.  Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Has at least 5 years of market research experience.
