Job Description:

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

Areas of responsibility are:

  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Understand the full project lifecycle and take ownership of SDLC maintenance to ensure successful implementation and integration of application changes
  • Working with colleagues in other regional teams to ensure consistent, high quality levels of support are maintained.
  • Working very closely with Application Development and support teams.
  • Ensure the core environments are always in sync with production
  • Candidate should be passionate to learn new technologies on demand basis.
  • Candidate should be eager to learn domain knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent
  • Experience in a technical support role (min 5 years)
  • Strong SQL, Unix and Oracle experience (min 5 yrs)
  • Knowledge of Java preferred
  • Good Shell Scripting (min 2yrs)
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant support, maintenance and enhancement experience

  • Ability and willingness to develop technical SME and business knowledge
  • Commitment and ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure & constantly changing environment
  • Working with project delivery teams, testing team and support team to ensure the quality of deliverables into production
  • Providing front line support to our clients test team, builds strong relationships
  • Logging, analyzing and managing queries, problems and incidents to resolution
  • Helping to drive continuous improvement within the team as it relates to incident, problem and change management excellence
  • Understanding the impact of change in a complex technical environment
  • Proactive capacity and resiliency planning and execution
  • Providing technical assistance and coordination during incidents. Escalating and tracking tickets, identifies, diagnoses, and resolves functional and technical problems
  • Maintain strong relationship with AD & Support teams
  • Participate in a continuous infrastructure improvement program by analyzing and remediating platform problems


 Technical Skills Required:

 Extensive experience of the following technologies:

  • UNIX Solaris and Linux RHEL
  • Oracle
  • Experience of Scheduling tools - AutoSys
  • Perl/Shell/Batch Scripting.XML
  • Knowledge in GIT, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Maven, junit
  • Knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages like JAVA, Python, SQL
  • Knowledge in networking and storage.
  • Experience of ITRS Geneos Monitoring tools or any other Monitoring tools
  • Able to appreciate, document and share best practices throughout the team
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills, Technical documentation skills
  • Good communication both written and verbal with an ability to communicate at all levels up to senior management. Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external teams
