VPs within the Sales & Trading teams work with top professionals to advise and facilitate transactions with a variety of institutional clients comprising of banks, fund managers, pension funds, insurance companies and hedge funds. You will learn how capital flows from the world’s largest institutional investors to its most prominent borrowers and issuers. This VP position is on the SWAPs Desk in the Rates business. The seat focuses on the market making of CAD interest rate swaps, cross currency, and tenor basis swaps to a broad range of investors (money managers, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, corporates). 
The candidate should have an understanding of both FX and rates products (Spot and forwards FX, Treasuries, interest rate swaps, cross-currency basis swaps, Futures, FX and Rate Options, Repo), macroeconomic drivers and their correlation with related macro markets (equities, credit, and commodities). Experience in market making interest rate swaps would be a requirement. Any Canadian market related experiences would be a plus. You will be managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you may support all aspects of the trading desk: pre-trade analysis, sales commentary, and the design of optimal strategies for large trades. Tracking supply and demand, you constantly evaluate market developments in order to give clients accurate product information about market macro-structure and micro-structure.


• Around 5 years of Trading experience (preferably in Macro markets, Rates and FX) 
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math or related quantitative field 
• Someone who thrives on the challenge of competitive pressures
• Expert Bloomberg, Excel, Power Point and MS Office skills 
• Strong understanding of Global macro markets and drivers required 
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to juggle live transactions and daily tasks 
• Maturity and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced and open environment
