Business Intelligence Application Support Manager

  • As a Production Support Manager, you will be responsible for Incident and Problem resolution for aligned LOBs. Lead a global team of 7 to 15 resources. 
  • The role also involves engaging and partnering with Application development/Software Engineering teams, and various platform owners like Teradata, ETL, BI, etc. and also interfacing with executive and senior management. 
  •  Responsible to ensure that the applications meet their required service levels
  • Perform service transition from development to support
  • Effectively perform root cause analysis of issues and report the outcome to business community and Management.
  • Developing and designing BI applications using Tableau, SSRS, and/or Cognos
  • Develop / utilize core support tools and processes to perform work while improving day-to-day practices for support team members with the goal of delivering service improvements to the business.
  • Coordinate and work with the global production support team

2.  Communication – Should be able to clearly communicate ideas in technical or business terms with senior business leadership, leadership outside the LOB (internal or external), their peers across IT, as well as their team. 

 3.  Leadership - Assess a situation, prioritize requirements, and then go out to any IT team, including both development and infrastructure, and get support as needed.  

 4.  Self-Directed - Has a strong sense of self and purpose.   Understands tasks and role, and does not need daily reassurances, yet maintains an open dialogue with all of the stakeholders.

  • BS or BA Degree or Equivalent work experience 
  • 10+  years of professional experience in the field of information and technology.
  • 5+ years of Experience in developing and designing BI applications using Tableau, SSRS, and/or Cognos
  • Experience with Windows platforms and scripting
  • Experience in SQL  debugging skills
  • Experience in Interfacing with Business on application build and support
  • Experience in working in Hadoop and Cloud is a plus
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Ability to multi-task /change focus quickly.
  • Must be a team player.
