Team Description - Consumer Bank Check Fraud team is responsible for managing check fraud loss line of greater than $100MM. Check fraud is a dynamic space, where the team has to be aware of the latest trends ongoing on the attempted frauds. The team closely partners with other teams like Operations / Modeling / Business, etc.


Key primary responsibility -


  • Develop strategies in the Check fraud space by leveraging business intuitive knowledge backed by statistical techniques
  • Closely monitor and explain movements in key risk metrics. Monitor operational and loss trends to help support loss prevention and operations oversight teams
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure up to date business knowledge
  • Knowledge sharing across the team and ability to train junior team members

  • Minimum qualification : Bachelors degree in Economics / Engineer, Master
  • Strong SAS programming, SQL programming skills
  • Advanced PC Skills, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (graphs, charts, formulas etc..)
  • 2+ years of experience in Consumer Lending Business Analysis, Risk or related Financial Analysis
  • Ability to understand business needs, diagnose performance issues, and develop recommendations through combination of data analysis and business critical thinking
  • Ability to prioritize goals to meet business objectives and work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Consumer Credit experience; incumbent should possess an understanding of the risk management practices of consumer lenders (preferably US Retail Bank).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills - ability to liaison with cross functional groups, present results to senior leaders, create effective presentations
