Our Business:
 
The CIB Technology Team in Saudi Arabia has responsibility for delivering, supporting and operating technology solutions for Treasury Services, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Equities within Saudi Arabia. The team has full responsibility for local branch applications and is accountable for global strategic systems used by the Branch. We engage with local vendor partners to develop and support front office, back office, accounting and financial reporting capabilities.
 
 
Opportunity:

The individual would be joining the Saudi CIB Technology Team as a Senior Associate. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on and enthusiastic technologist who is adaptable and flexible, and is keen to gain experience across many aspect of technology including software delivery, production support, project management, risk & controls and resiliency. The position offers potential leadership and advancement opportunities for the right candidate.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
To include:
  • Management of day to day technology operations – managing and running banking applications and systems and managing a small tech ops team.
  • Hands on monitoring of systems/applications; troubleshoot and remediate issues
  • Systems development activities, operating as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager to enhance and maintain local technology applications, including banking and payment systems as well as trading platforms.  
  • Document Back Office and Front Office requirements in conjunction with Riyadh subject matter experts (SMEs) and global system owners to ensure key requirements are identified and then delivered by vendor partners.
  • Produce documents detailing technical operating procedures, configuration and installation of systems, business continuity planning, periodic MIS, etc.
  • Clearly articulate system issues for resolution by second and third level international support teams.
  • Ensure that processes and procedures related to regulator provided clearing and other systems are established and updated on a regular basis. Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to.
  • Support all JPMC Technology programs and local projects run for the branch.
  • Vendor management of our Riyadh-based application providers.
  • Work closely with the corporate technology infrastructure (GTI), application development (AD), operations, finance and front office teams.
  • Develop strong working relationships locally and with international hub teams.
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to management and stakeholders to track the progress of deliveries and communicate status in an accurate, succinct and timely fashion. Manage project risk, issues and dependencies and escalating as necessary.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal leadership and influencing skills and show a clear ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
  • Support and contribute to regulatory reviews and internal/external audits impacting Saudi Technology, including effective engagement with Technology Control Officers, Compliance and Technology Teams.
  • Manage and support the implementation of technology JPMC Rısk and Control programs ensuring compliance with Saudi regulatory requırements.
Qualifications
  • University graduate in related areas (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering).
  • Technology experience within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience of business analysis / application support for medium or large systems.
  • Previous involvement across a range of small, medium and large projects and experience with standard project methodologies.
  • Experience in managing technology vendor partners.
  • Banking application operations and support, preferably T24 Core Banking System (Temenos)
  • UNIX/Linux System Administration
  • Middleware/MQ/Websphere
  • SQL knowledge on MSSQL / ORACLE platforms.
  • Prior experience of managing a team is a plus.
