Corporate Function Overview
Global Supplier Services brings together Sourcing, Third Party Oversight, Procurement Operations, and Accounts Payable into one team.  This group of more than 800 employees manages the source to pay processes for JPMorgan Chase and provides a governance model which includes strong risk management practices, enhanced performance monitoring, greater scale and strong client engagement.
 
Position Summary
The position is responsible for the GSS Operations control environment, including issue identification, escalation, remediation and validation; reporting, metrics and root cause analysis; and partnering with Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit and Regulators. Additional responsibilities include control governance and reporting for all GSS functions within APAC and Inter Affiliate Services subject matter expertise.
 
The GSS Operations Control Officer is responsible for maintaining and improving the global business control environment.  The position requires business knowledge in some or all of the following areas: Sourcing and Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and Indirect Tax Operations.  The position also requires experience and knowledge of risk and control methodology, issue management life cycle, and governance and reporting, as well as familiarity with the regional regulatory environment.  The individual must have strong management and communication skills to work within a global team. 
 
The successful candidate will also drive consistent control, compliance, audit and regulatory engagement for GSS across the region.  Working with functional and location managers, this role coordinates the GSS control agenda regionally through engagement with local, regional and global control forums and committees.  An important part of the role is relationship management, working with relevant functions within GSS and key control stakeholders in the region, including compliance, audit and regulators, to ensure accurate reporting of activity and status.  In addition, the successful candidate will also provide Inter Affiliate Service expertise within GSS.
 
The position reports to the GSS Control Officer and also has a local reporting line. The position is based in Bengaluru.
 
Qualifications 
  • Graduate/Postgraduate with 10+ yrs. of relevant experience
  • Superior analytical skills, excellent business judgment, and effective problem solving and decision making capabilities
  • Deep control knowledge and ability to prioritize based on risk and simplify complex processes
  • Knowledge with the end to end Source to Pay cycle
  • Familiarity with the APAC regulatory landscape
  • Experienced in Audit/Risk/Compliance, Risk and Control methodology/practices, and self-assessment testing and sampling
  • Effective communicator with management, auditors and regulators; ability to articulate concise summaries of situations, impacts and remediation
  • Strong team player with collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Adaptable and innovative; capable of refining plans and execution as situations evolve
  • Sound presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks globally
