Markets Product Control – Project manager
VP role part of the Markets Product Control project team.
The team is responsible for coordinating Product Control specific technology initiatives as well as the derivatives end to end program which is part of the Firmwide Risk and Finance Roadmap program.   It is also responsible for organizing programs governance, communication to senior management and external regulators.  The team also coordinates internal training for Markets Product Control.
The VP will report to the ED lead and focus on the infrastructure agenda with the following responsibilities.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive the product control infrastructure agenda such as data quality initiatives related to external reporting, derivatives end to end strategic infrastructure program, variation margin as settlement, etc.
  • Coordinate several programs with stakeholders and technology teams through the end to end infrastructure.
  • Manage a team of project managers and help drive successful deliveries of the technology programs.
  • Facilitate working groups to perform root cause analysis and identify solutions with the technology teams and the subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate testing across multiple groups.
  • Establish governance and program management structure; manage the preparation sessions for the large Product Control technology programs ahead of the steering committees.
Qualifications
 
The candidate must have excellent organizational and problem solving skills, able to drive projects up to completion with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task, coordinate multiple workstreams concurrently and be versatile in running a broad-range of project types.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, partnership, team building and program governance across multiple lines of business and functional areas.
  • Ability to drive meetings to identify appropriate solutions across multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of technology process flows and interactions with technology teams.
  • Leadership skills: ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Ability to summarise key messages and produce clear presentations to senior management/regulators in a short timeframe.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills including presenting project updates to senior management.
