Role Description:
This role resides within the AWM India Operations Risk & Controls organization with a matrix alignment to the global Portfolio Analysis Group (PAG) Risk Management & Controls team.  It supports the team’s responsibility for ensuring effective implementation of the operational risk framework across the PAG function, as well as providing advisory support on matters related to operational risk management.  This position collaborates and partners with the broader PAG management team, the PAG Controls team, the AWM Controls and Oversight team, and other functional support groups (Compliance, Audit etc.) to develop and drive operational controls and to ensure that operational risks and issues are appropriately identified, escalated and mitigated.  
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Performing testing on PAG’s RCSA controls and assessing control design and effectiveness in day-to-day operations
  • Managing PAG RCSA program deliverables, including assistance with Inherent Risk and Residual Risk assessments
  • Managing or assisting control-related or regulatory projects for the Controls organization
  • Monitoring global PAG Operations’ compliance to internal and firm-wide Operational Risk Management Framework, including but not limited to, firmwide operational risk policies and procedures, UT standards and SQL guidelines
  • Reviewing workflows to minimize risks associated with the process& improve overall control environment
  • Ensuring preparedness for audit and/or compliance reviews by partnering with internal stakeholders and with Technology partners
  • Providing inputs into strategic programs to ensure effective design and execution
  • Creating relevant risk metrics for management review
  • 8+ years of experience in banking operations with a minimum of 2 years within an operational QA, risk & controls or audit function
  • Knowledge of performance measurement methodologies, techniques and concepts, attribution analysis is strongly preferred
  • Attention to detail and a proven ability to identify process gaps through comprehensive testing
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization spread across regions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter who is able to take ownership and follow through with tasks until completion
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) to multiple levels of management
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple activities
  • Strong team player with a results-oriented focus and a highly disciplined approach to meeting objectives
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Knowledge of risk management tools is preferred
