Regulatory Reporting Training Overview

Regulatory Reporting Training primarily supports the FRRA function within Corporate Finance. Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) is responsible for the execution and delivery against the Firm’s regulatory reporting requirements to its U.S. regulators.  The team has end-to-end responsibility for US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing, including the design, implementation, and oversight of the execution, analysis, control and governance frameworks.  Its mandate includes determining the appropriate investment in people, processes and technology to improve the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the Firm’s US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing submissions, as well as the implementation of new requirements and guidelines as they are published.

 

The objectives of the FRRA Team are to provide leadership on all aspects of US regulatory reporting and firmwide capital stress-testing, including both internal and regulatory requirements.

 

Regulatory Reporting Training:

  • Develop firmwide regulatory reporting training strategy and annual priority training plan for regulatory reporting
  • Responsible for development of internal regulatory reporting training curriculums
  • Collaborate with regulatory reporting team to develop technical training modules for the relevant reports
  • Attend industry trainings and ones provided by the regulators; incorporate trainings from industry and regulators into internal training curriculums
  • Work collectively with reporting team to identify training participants required for each course
  • Liaison with Global Finance Training office to obtain approval of mandatory trainings course and assignment of the course to participants
  • Coordinate with regulatory reporting teams to deliver the training either in live or e-learning format
  • Partner with Regulatory Reporting Policy & Implementation to provide quarterly regulatory update
  • Monitor training participation and provide senior management, businesses, and reporting teams with periodic update of completion status
  • Maintain and refresh training course based on the defined frequency required
Background and Skillset Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required
  • Vice President level or equivalent experience (including typically 5-10 years related subject matter experience)

  • Strong US GAAP accounting and relevant U.S. financial services regulatory reporting knowledge

  • CPA and/or Master's in accounting preferred but not required

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present to various types of audiences complex issues in an easy to understand manner

  • Strong communication skills – clear, concise, and appropriate method of delivery

  • Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines, as well as tracking and driving execution

  • Flexibility to change priorities as new situations present themselves

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
