Reporting into the Chief Architect for Digital Technology, the DevOps Architecture Director is a principle leadership role in the CCB Technology Architecture Organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and implementation of DevOps practices for Continuous Integration / Continuous Development pipeline and IT operations practices, scaling and metrics, as well as running day-to-day operations from development to production for Chase Digital Platform.
  • Innovate and drive the initiates to support creation of NextGen Platform to further optimize Digital DevOps practice and also create a best of breed processes to optimize Digital deliver adapting to JPMC standards and regulations. This role will work closely with the Digital teams itself to enhance Digital SDLC maturity.
  • Assess, identify, and recommend business and technical DevOps policy and procedures impacted by change resulting from project assignments.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to improve our processes and tools specifically for Automation.
  • Present and champion change to all level of the organization and build understanding, buy-in and adoption of new ideas.
  • Create, foster and continually develop relationships with a variety of internal clients and partners.
  • Coach and mentor individuals and groups on new concepts, processes and expertise in implementation of tools focusing on Containers, Dockers, Kubernetes platform.
  • Adapt incoming collateral to new or existing brand guidelines without losing context or content.
  • Prepare communications in partnership with project teams or subject matter experts and provide writing/editing support to CTO lines of business.
  • Manages day-to-day individual workload and pipeline of procedure and communication requests. Monitoring milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of schedule and identify / mitigate risk.

 

  • 15+ years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an software architect responsible for designing large complex IT solutions
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in collaborating directly with business partners to ensure technical solutions deliver on business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage enterprise architecture principles to develop business strategies into investable technical roadmaps
  • Very strong presentation and communication skills with experience providing communication to C level executives
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools and a strong grasp of automation tools.
  • Ability to code and script, experience with systems and IT operations. Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
  • Proficient with Ant, Shell and Python Scripting.
  • Familiar with GIT/Bitbucket, Tomcat, WebSphere, Build, Release and Source Code Management

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial services experience with a focus on Digital banking
  • Experience in an Agile delivery model
  • Experience with migrating applications to a Public or Private cloud infrastructure
