The Credit Portfolio Group (CPG) within IB Risk is
responsible for managing the IB's retained credit risk resulting from
traditional credit products (loans, letters of credit and revolvers) and
derivatives. CPG develops and executes strategies to reduce credit risk
concentration and losses from credit events, and to increase the capacity for
future business. Global Trade Finance is part of the product suite in the
Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) line-of-business. As a core business,
it is one of the primary drivers of the global economy. Trade Finance
facilities the transfer of commodities and manufactured goods between
Controllers with in the IB Finance & Business Management organization are responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle, performing critical reporting functions for the organization including financial and regulatory, product valuation, improving ongoing processes and ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.
The successful candidate will be an integral member in the migration of the product control function from New York to Delaware. They will be asked to travel to NY in order to learn the function and transition the knowledge gained to a newly created team in Delaware. In addition to existing BAU support, there is a need to develop and implement multiple controls, reports, and processes to reach the desired target operating model.
The candidate will interact heavily with Loan Operations, Financial Control, regional Controllers, the Middle Office, the Front Office, and other LOB Controllers. There is also a high level of engagement with the Global Controller and CFO.
Reporting to the Loans Controller, the candidate will be responsible for the following BAU Activities:
1. monthly/quarterly regulatory and corporate reporting submission
2. month end close process
3. daily P&L reporting and explain
4. weekly loan sales report
5. monthly control reports
6. various ad-hoc analyses
From a project perspective, the candidate would be expected to support the drive forward of multiple workstreams, including:
1. Support the IB Risk Global Corporate Bank Reporting, NBIA and other growth
2. Continue to build out of the Cristal P&L Reporting, explain and sign-off processes
3. Develop and improve reconciliations between ledger and support systems (CRRT, CERF, TARA)
4. Develop yield analysis reporting, including funding costs
5. Improve shadow-loans reporting (i.e., the MTM of the accrual loans portfolio)
6. Support multiple technology agendas:
- Validating/enhancing feeds from Loan IQ to Cristal (IB Risk's P&L aggregator and CVA risk management system)
- Finance Core Processing Platform (FCPP) - LIQ feeds to SSL/BDM
Developing and maintaining extensive working relationships within and outside the IB Risk Controllers organization will be essential. He/she will need to be comfortable challenging and digging into the details of issues and also be able to present them in the context of the 'big picture' to peers and senior management.

3-5 years experience
